Bulldog Secrets: Only A Bulldog Owner Know

A few secrets only a bulldog owner know;

Bulldogs aren’t good swimmers!  With their large rounded heads, short snouts and (usually) short legs and large bodies; these dogs are not the ideal balance for buoyancy.  They are not meant to have the stamina to be a long distance swimmer. They may like to wade in the water if socialized to enjoy it though.

Also because of the Bulldogs brachycephalic(short or broad headed) anatomy with a short snout they may not tolerate air travel well due to changes in altitude levels.  Ever wonder WHY Bulldogs have loose skin?  It dates back to their bull baiting days when, if they got  trapped in competitors jaws they could still be agile enough to keep fighting.

Bulldogs are sweet but stubborn and need repetition and consistency for successful training.
This breed is the most popular mascot dog!  Popular in the United Kingdom and in America, where the common Bulldog portrays many University mascots and sport team mascots!

Most Bulldog puppies are delivered by caesarian section because their heads are too broad to be born naturally.
